Mariana Faithful
Over the years, Mariana has researched the illegal adoptions that took place in Greece and went on for many decades.
In 1995, armed with hundreds of documents, Mariana approached the then Mayor of Athens, Dimitris Avramopoulos and by his executive order she was afforded access to the thousands of logs that are kept by the City's own orphanage.
Adoptees all over Greece from Patras to Thessaloniki and from the US and as far as Australia, are still unable to obtain information about their families and reunite with them.
The results of this painstaking research are to be shown in a documentary film, produced by Mariana.
